Kobieta jako sprawczyni zabójstwa – analiza kryminologiczna i kryminalistyczna

Summary/Abstract: The murder is a felony that violates the supreme value which is the human life. Therefore, the bigger shock, disbelief and social disapproval generates a situation where a perpetrator of the murder turns out to be a woman. Currently in Poland, one person in eight is alleged to have committed a murder. The research carried out by the author in the Prison No 1 in Grudziądz was conducted in order to determinate the modus operandi of Polish women killers and compare them to the results of studies carried out by previous researchers of the problem. The studies in question show that most women deprive of life the closest persons: their husband, lover, child. The highest percentage of killers are women who have been victims of violence from the hand of their husband or lover. The tool the most commonly used for murder has been so far a kitchen knife and the crime scene has been often an apartment in which lovers had lived together. These murders haven’t been planned, and the behavior of women was a reaction to the aggressive behavior of the partner.
