Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to find the link of Andrić’s lexicon in the novel Travnik Chronicle with the dialectical characteristics of the speech of Travnik, where the novel's action takes place, as well as the characteristics of other Bosnian words. Namely, Andrić used dialectisms in his literary works only to the extent which was necessary and justified. Therefore, it was interesting to find out how much this was needed in this novel. Travnik belongs to the Ikavian- Shtokavian dialect of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the lexicon from the novel is mostly viewed from that angle
