Summary/Abstract: These fragmentary recollections about the life and work of Abdulah Šarčević, as refracted through the prism of his own writings on Theoodor Adorno’s Critical Theory and the “Frankfurt School”, reveal potential parallels (as well as differences) in the experiences of war and exile, and in relation to the political, between this great German philosopher and one of the most influential thinkers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
