Summary/Abstract: Šimo Dominković was born in Štitar on October 9, 1955, in the large family of Ana and Ivo Dominković, fascinated by music since childhood, especially the sound of the tambura, in an environment that fostered a high-quality tambura sound, and he could not become anything other than a good tambura player. His first teacher was Stanislav Oršolić (in Štitarski elementary school), and later in the county high school, the famous uncle Šima Seletković. He starts as a bass player, later he plays the bass, then the cello and finally the bass.
