Summary/Abstract: The paper provides a theoretical insight into the topic of attachment and its impact on the educational process. The quality of attachment is presented here as a potential factor of school success, as a risk factor in the development of problem behavior and deficit social competencies of a pupil with a less favorable type of attachment. The paper concludes by outlining the possibilities of the teacher, particularly the class teacher, in supporting pupils with a less favorable type of attachment.
