COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: RELIGIOUS OBLIGATION AND NECESSITY IN THE REFORM OF THE UMMAH

Summary/Abstract: There are many reasons for the modern civilizational and cultural backwardness of Muslims in relation to other nation, cultures and civilizations. It is a special inexhaustible and difficult topic that is not the subject of our study, about which a lot has been written, discussed and thought about. The backwardness of Muslims today is only a consequence, and the main, perhaps the only cause, is the wrong, partial and incorrect intellection, understanding, acceptance and application of Islamic beliefs and teachings by modern Muslims themselves. Correct belief and teaching should profile Muslims' correct and well-balanced perception and vision of the cosmos, life and man and his relationship to God, nature and other creatures. Without the correct formatting of awareness of the stated truths among Muslims, the unenviable situation of the Ummah cannot and will not be changed. In that context, this study intends to emphasize one of the most important institutions in the Sharia, the institution of collective obligations, without which, in our opinion, it can not be religious, civilizational or cultural reform of the Ummah. That institution has been almost completely neglected in the civilized and cultural segment of the world, and in the religious segment it has been greatly reduced and limited to only some of its ritual aspects. The studies will try, within the framework of the available space and set rules, to light up the most important reforming dimensions of the institution of Sharia collective obligations Fardul-el-kifajeh with the aim of emphasizing and pointing out its importance, significance and reactivation, which is necessary for the survival, renaissance and progress of the ummah.
