Summary/Abstract: We hear every day that schools do not adequately prepare young people for life and work in high-tech industry and innovation. It is obvious that there is a mismatch between what is offered to students and what they need in a globalized world. This imbalance can be bridged by changing the dominant paradigm in education. The aim of the work is to map and analyze the skills that are crucial for walking in the time of encounter, and which need to be institutionally learned and taught. A review of the literature found that critical thinking, creativity, constructivist framework for learning and wisdom create prerequisites for learning in a different, more engaged and active way. Therefore, these skills should be integrated into the curriculum. In compiling findings from numerous studies, it is evident that a curriculum based on these skills has the potential to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional model, thus opening up the horizon of numerous possibilities for intellectual, material and spiritual transformation. However, only "cosmetic" changes to the curriculum will not have positive effects. Striving for excellence is possible only with significant changes and adjustments that should be achieved by developing generative curricula oriented towards critical thinking, creativity, constructivism and wisdom. Therefore, the paper specifies and presents forms of learning that need clearer and more serious curriculum support.
