Summary/Abstract: In this article, the economic aspects of the implementation of new technologies in energy storage and transmission will be considered. After reducing the carbon footprint in the electricity production process, the flexible transfer and storage of the produced energy that is not immediately consumed are also very important. In the last 15 years, industrial electricity storage has become technically feasible, but it is still a matter of debate how economically justified it is. Some economic risks can be identified and some security measures can be taken. There is a possible optimization of energy storage that can make it adapted to the demand and prices of the energy market. There are some implications for Industry 4.0 and the increase in energy consumption generated by e-mobility.
