Theoretical and legal aspects of detention of persons by police authorities

Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to the basic concepts related to the use of physical force and aids used by police authorities. It is a matter of differentiated consideration of „detention“, „detention of persons“, as well as the collective term „detention of persons by police authorities“. It is emphasized that there is a lack of legal definition of these concepts and the need, as well as the importance of their clarification from the point of view of the legal regulation in the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
