Summary/Abstract: European funds are part of Bulgaria's national security. The funds are important for the Bulgarian economy. We owe 4% of the GDP of the Bulgarian economy to them. The most important thing for the funds is to have political agreement on the use and priorities. There must be clarity about where European funds go. One of the main priorities of the European Union is financial support of the member states on the basis of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU.
