Empirical factor in global cosmologies

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the role of the empirical factor in the Milne's cosmology and Steady State Theory. Both theories are being recognised as the most representative of the global (deductive) cosmologies. The conducted analysis leads to the conclusion that these theories do not have a merely a priori character because the empirical factor plays in them a significant role. Gathered observation data and the experimental results are the determining factors not only in the testing process but also are an important element of the procedures that are generally accounted for in the discovery context. The empirical factor inspires and focuses on the scientific problems, determines presuppositions and affects the formulation of their hypotheses.
