Scientific gathering with international participation The fall of Belgrade in 1521 and its consequences for the Croatian historical space

Summary/Abstract: In the premises of the Croatian Catholic University, which is one of the organizers together with the Croatian Institute of History, and under the auspices of the Belgrade Archdiocese, a scientific conference entitled The Fall of Belgrade in 1521 and its consequences for the Croatian historical space took place on November 22, 2021. The 500th anniversary of that landmark historical event was the impetus for organizing a conference with international participation, where 12 scientists presented. The meeting was divided into four sections, and the presenters had the opportunity to talk about military, political and social topics related to the fall of Belgrade in 1521.
