Summary/Abstract: This analysis identifies 10 fields of positive effects in result of the adoption of the euro and five grounds of prospective issues. The author goes to the conclusion that 2/3 of potential benefits can be explored at least partially with the accession to ERM-2. Respectively, predicted negative effects have no or modest pro-liferation at ERM-2. In such circumstances, it turns out that it may be a strategic solution for countries such as Bulgaria and Croatia to anticipate a longer stay in ERM-2 considering future developments with global pandemic of Covid-19 and ex-pected debt and budget deficit issues.
