Summary/Abstract: The security and intelligence system in BiH is a transitional product with weaknesses, inconsistencies and contradictions which are a direct reflection of such a situation in the overall social system. The original, Dayton, solutions are reformed and jurisdiction modified in numerous reform processes that have been conducted in twenty years. Formally designed and established all security and intelligence functions „normal“ state, internal and external, institutionalized through the police agency, the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the State Investigation and Protection Agency, the Armed Forces and Military Intelligence gender and work and representative bezbjednosno-intelligence function of foreign policy. However, the effects of their actions are small, almost no and do not support the realization of the security functions of the state as a guarantor of security. Changes in this sector must be thorough, systematic and immediately, if we want to catch even remotely serious relationship with the countries of the region and Europe.
