Summary/Abstract: To respond flexibly and appropriately to the dynamics of the business environment, Bulgarian enterprises need proper application management approach that can build the architecture of business processes and allow managers to plan, analyze, measure and monitor in real time, organizing change, both atprocesses and enterprise level. Many companies of all sizes in all geographical areas are exploring Business Process Management (BPM), as a complex approach that contains many specific technologies that can help companies to remain flexible and relevant to the rapid changes. The main purpose of this survey is to show which of them are used in the Bulgarian enterprises. Also it is makes an objective assessment how Bulgarian business aligning those business processes management procedures with corporate strategies and goals. The results show that more and more bulgarian companies recognize the need for developing a system for measuring the functioning of the company; as well as the necessity for developing a process architecture to specify interrelation between a strategy and processes. Broadly, however, the Bulgarian companies increasingly believe that BPM is a top-down methodology designed to organization’s core processes and they are moving ahead to determine how to implement technologies that will help them do that.
