Summary/Abstract: This article presents the fate of members of the Lepner medical family. Its first representative, Jan Chrystian, came from Königsberg, and after changing his religion from Lutheran to Catholic, he arrived in Warmia at the end of the 17th century, settling in Braniewo. He soon moved to Frombork and became a physician to the canons of the local cathedral chapter. Jan Chrystian’s son, Andrzej Stanisław, a medical graduate of the University of Leipzig and a doctor of medicine, associated his life with Lidzbark Warmiński. In turn, his son, Franciszek Jerzy, a medical graduate of the University of Königsberg, was to succeed Andrzej Stanisław as a doctor in the Warmian capital; unfortunately, he died at a very young age, which was a great blow to his father. As a result of this tragic event, the tradi- tion of inheriting the medical profession in the Lepner family was broken. The author also presented profiles of Braniewo city doctors, successors of Jan Chrystian Lepner in this position, until 1772.
