Summary/Abstract: The article aims to investigate the need forpsychological help and its availability for professionalsworking in frontal areas during an emergency situation. Arepresentative study (N=1139; educators, medical staff,social workers, psychologist, and other; 304 respondentsfrom Vilnius district) concluded that the need forpsychological services and the intensification of suchprovision in crisis situations is clear. As a result, thenecessary decisions are formed at the state level, whichimprove the legal regulation of psychological services bothat the level of individual agencies and at theinterdepartmental level. The authors of the articlerecommend regulating at least the time norms and costs ofpsychological services provided in the public sector, as wellas regulating the relevant parameters of health care, socialor educational services and developing remotepsychological services not only for sensitive groups (e.g.children or silver lines), professionals and the generalpopulation (especially in the context of social crises), tobring university studies of psychologists more in line withthe requirements of the EuroPsy1 diploma.
