Summary/Abstract: On 28 June 1919, the Versailles Treaty was signed and an organising committee was established charged with preparing for the first International Labour Conference (ILC) and the creation of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). On 29 October 1919, the first ILC was convened which lasted until 29 November of the same year. The ILO will, therefore, celebrate 100 years of existence in 2019.
