Observations on diminutive verbs in Bulgarian and Modern Greek

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the ways of expressing verbal diminution in Bulgarian and Modern Greek. From a formal perspective the verbal diminutives are considered in terms of their word-formation features and formation mechanisms (prefixation, suffixation, addition of affixoids, syntactic modifications). At the semantic level, the analysis focuses on the complex meanings they express, despite the blurred boundaries between the quantifying and qualifying aspects of semantics.
