The present and future of the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs

Summary/Abstract: The article, which is based primarily on the RILSA Development Strategy document, emphasises that the research conducted by the institute is focused in such a way that it serves not only its principal partner organisation, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, but also the Office of the Government, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Interior and the Czech Labour Office. The basic areas of research planned for the next three years include employment and social and family issues, together with the social context of demographic development. Of the many objectives set out by RILSA up to 2022, the article highlights the following: support for career advancement of its researchers, increasing the number of scientific articles in the institute's Social Policy Forum journal and increasing the number of projects successfully submitted to the Czech Technology Agency.
