Summary/Abstract: The events in the region, which resulted in the military aggression of the Russian Federation on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, accelerated the dynamics of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Currently, the Moldovan-European relations are conditioned by the events in Ukraine, which have oriented the vector of the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova versus the EU. The Republic of Moldova’s submission of the application for EU membership and the obtaining of the status of candidate country for EU integration and tells us about the state’s desire to align with the processes in the European integrationist space. This article aims to highlight the conditions under which the Republic of Moldova has obtained the status of EU candidate country, as well as the conditions imposed by the EU on the resilience of the Republic of Moldova to European standards.
