In Memoriam Adrian Neculau

Summary/Abstract: In the present text, I intended to review the work of Professor Adrian Neculau from the perspective of collective projects and to evaluate the extent to which they marked the evolution of the Faculty and social psychology in Iaşi. The soul of a research group is the joint project. Around Professor Neculau, in the 90s, a group of young university researchers was formed, a group that came to be called the Social Field Psychology Laboratory. The professor proposed very motivating joint projects and supported the career development of each member of the group. Thus stimulated, the activity of the members of the group was reflected in the achievements (in particular, books) that made Iaşi’s social psychology shine in the period 1995 2005. Adrian Neculau had the merit of having understood that only the combination of the qualities of several people can lead to the fulfillment of high goals such as those pertaining to a university, that the strength of a department or a faculty is given by the number of research groups, formal or informal, the way the skills of the members combine and complement each other and the harmony and solidarity that exists within each team.
