The second version of the Chronicle conveived in the Matei Basarab time (1640–1646)

Summary/Abstract: One of the most important chronicles of Wallachia is the one called – by the modern historians – The Cantacuzino’s Family Chronicle LetopisețulCantacuzinesc). Historians established the probability that this chronicle dissapeared since the last decades of the XVIIth century had an early form and a revised one. The present essay – part of a monographic approach – discusses the second version of the Chronicle conceived in the Matei Basarab time.
