Summary/Abstract: Russia's war against Ukraine changed our understanding of the Slavic world forever. In the last thirty years, after the collapse of the USSR, many countries have become part of Europe which have made it wider, but have also highlighted some problems that are not always easy to solve. Far more tearing than those of the EU are perhaps the internal divisions in the Slavic world, in particular that between Russia and Ukraine. Perhaps today we are witnessing the last act of the drama in which Kyïv, one of the oldest Slavic cities, and the whole of Ukraine suffer a devastating attack from Moscow just for having chosen Europe. Poland has also found itself directly involved in this confrontation, siding with Ukraine with determination.
