Summary/Abstract: This paper describes the settlement of Maoca, near Brcko, at the end of the 19th century. In doing so, previously unknown and unpublished archival data from 1888 is mainly used. It is focused on over a hundred land registers from the Land Register for the Cadastral Municipality (C.M.) of Maoca from the above mentioned year. Those provide in detail all houses in the settlement of Maoca in 1888, along with real estate, with areas and numbers of cadastral parcels (c.p.). Most importantly, the owners of those houses are listed with the exact shares. In addition to the names of the owner's fathers, who have already died, their exact official surnames are also listed, kept as such to this day. This enables us to have documented knowledge of almost all families and surnames in Maoca in the last one hundred and fifty years. Also, by analyzing these documents, we get an accurate and detailed overview of the urban appearance of the Maoca settlement at the end of the 19th century.
