Summary/Abstract: This paper presents data on the morphometric characteristics of river crayfish (Astacus astacus) from the Vijaka River in Prnjavor. Crabs were sampled in June 2022, when 67 individuals were caught (44 males and 23females). Twenty-three morphometric characteristics: total body length (TBL), weight (W), claw length (CLL), claw palm length (CPL), claw finger length (CFL),claw width (CLW), claw thickness (CLH), length carapace (CPL), rostrum length(ROL), rostrum width (ROW), head length and width (HEL, HEW), head width attop (CGW), carapace width (CPW), carapace thickness (CPH), chest length ( ARL),furrow width (ARW), carapace width at posterior margin (CEW), abdominal length, width and thickness (ABL, ABW, ABH), telzon length and width (TEL,TEW) were measured, both in males and to females. Also, the condition of all individuals was determined. The results of the morphometric characteristics partially coincided with the already known range of variation. These data represent the first data for the observed area. T-test showed that there are significant differences between sexes in TBL, W, CLL, CPL, CFL, CLW, CLH, CEF,ROW, CPH and ARL which is explained by pronounced sexual dimorphism of rivercrayfish.
