Summary/Abstract: This study aims to explore the participants’ perceptions of their language teacher educator identity, and to identify the factors that contribute to their teacher educator identity development. Participants included three English language teacher educators in a Turkish higher education context. The findings revealed that a desire to make an impact is a motivating factor in shaping the participants’ language teacher educator identity with self-reflection playing a crucial role in its development.
