Summary/Abstract: Freedom is understood in modern philosophy as autonomy and participation. But the first sense of freedom is predominant, for participation is for moderns only a means of guaranteeing autonomy. Autonomy is constituted as a "space". This space belongs to a "subject". But if these ideas seem transparent, there are some questions to which the answers usually remain confusing: "What kind of space is it that will be of autonomy?", "In what sense is it space of autonomy?", "Autonomy is the criterion of the construction of the subject space by reference to which focal point?" and "How should the subject that has this space of autonomy be defined?". I will attempt an answer to these questions, which starts from the idea that the space in question is a geometric place of rights. Then, I will try to analyze, based on the reconfiguration of the concept of space of autonomy, the right to be subject and the prohibition of dependence.
