Summary/Abstract: In approaching the subject under discussion, we reveal not out of political exoticism, but out of a desire to show that the year 2023 is the anniversary of a century since the drafting of the Constitution of the Romanian State, made after the Great Union of 1 December 1918. This is all the more so as the anniversary of the 1923 Constitution also has another anniversary behind it, that of 1831 when the Organic Regulation was drawn up. Moreover, to understand the one-century anniversary of the Organic Regulation in Romania and Moldova, we evoke the historical and legal context of the appearance of this law as a painful step on the path of Romania's modernization.
