EPIDEMIOLOGICAL INTERIEW DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC – LEGAL AND FORENSIC ASPECTS

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is the analysis and assessment of an epidemiological interview as one of the basic tools in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in the context of the epidemiological investigations conducted back then. The analysis of the abovementioned tool (i.e. the standardised form of an epidemiological inter- view) has been performed through the lens of the current legal provisions as well as tactical and forensic principles of conducting an interrogation and an interview. The issue of accuracy assessment of the data gathered by workers of the sanitary epidemiological inspection in the course of epidemiological interviews has also been raised. The findings of this analysis may prove useful in the context of facilitating the effec- tiveness of the conducted epidemiological investigations and obtaining information in the course of epide- miological interviews.
