Summary/Abstract: In the era of the technological and communication revolution, digital competences are considered to be the key resources of employees that determine their work efficiency. It seems that the importance of these competences was even greater during the COVID-19 pandemic, because due to restrictions it was possible to continue working only remotely. Based on the data from the population survey carried out as part of the Human Capital Balance (BKL) in 2017–2020, we estimated the probit model of outflows from employment to check whether having digital competences was conducive to maintaining work before and during the pandemic. The results show a link between basic digital skills and the likelihood of continuing to work, which was slightly stronger during the COVID-19 pandemic.
