Summary/Abstract: The article presents selected techniques of effective learning in the context of research on the processes of remembering information. It points out the challenges and benefits that are associated with the continuous expansion of knowledge and competences. The authors discuss the effect of testing, followed by the dynamic testing proposed by Robert Sternberg and Elena Grigorenko, which not only allows us to assess our performance at a certain point on the learning continuum, but also helps us to focus on eliminating deficiencies, as well as measure the progress made between individual tests. Next, the impact of how mental models are built and the tendency to learn by rules versus learning by example on the speed of information acquisition is described in the context of several selected studies. The final section presents the principle of operation and possible application for the Main Memory System described by Wennsshein. It reveals the phonetic alphabet used in the system and the matrix expansion capabilities that allow for the memorization of extremely long numerical sequences.
