Assessment of the conformity to the European Union law of the Bill on the Restriction of Carriage of Goods by Carriers Registered in the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus

Summary/Abstract: The provisions of the bill providing for the restriction of the entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland of carriers from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are incompatible with the principles of the common commercial policy on the free importation of goods into the EU. Any action in this area may only be taken by the Union, while Member States may only do so on the authority of the Union or for the implementation of Union law.
