Summary/Abstract: The article aims to introduce and illustrate the unique archive resources of the Polish Ethnographic Atlas, with particular focus on the materials collected in 1948–1989 in Western Pomerania (within the borders of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship). The article also features an analysis of the atlas resources by means of the ethnogeographical method, using the example of selected beliefs related to a supernatural being called a mare (Pol. zmora) in Western Pomerania. Other possible uses of source materials, such as in research into cultural memory, are also outlined.
