Summary/Abstract: The research aims to identify and analyze the specific rules for the evaluation of credit institutions' assets, as well as their relevance on aggregate indicators of credit institutions, reported by the National Bank of Romania for the entire Romanian banking system. The evolution of aggregate indicators is analyzed in structure and dynamics during June 2016 and June 2017. Regulatory rigor and uniformity in reporting banking indicators enables analysis and evaluation of the performance of Romanian banking activity.
