Summary/Abstract: This research was conducted in order to reveal the views of teachers working in a secondary school in Keçiören district of Ankara province on career steps.The research was composed of teachers working in the area stated above during the 2022-2023 academic year. The research was conducted with a study group of 19 people. The data collected through a semi-structured interview form were analyzed with the descriptive technique of qualitative analysis. They stated that teachers have a positive attitude towards these career steps, but that rising through these steps should not be via the exam applied. The general idea that emerged as a result of the research is that the rise in these steps should be according to the year of experience.
