A Research on Health Tourism Awareness of Health Personnel

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this research is to measure the awareness of health personnel in health tourism activities, to reveal their effectiveness in these activities and to emphasize how important health tourism is in terms of the country's image. Health tourism perception scale of health workers; it is aimed to measure perceptions of the effects of health tourism, perceptions of the problems of health tourism, perceptions of the institutional competencies of health institutions and perceptions of the health tourism potential of Tekirdağ province. The research universe consists of a total of 3433 health workers in 11 hospitals in Tekirdag, where we will conduct a survey. Ithas been observed that the Perception Scale factors of Health Tourism vary according to demographic characteristics. The perceptions of people between the ages of 18-25 are higher than those of people aged 36 and over. When the average differences of people's perceptions towards the problems of health tourism are examined according to the institution studied; the perceptions of people working in private sector health institutions and organizations towards the problems of health tourism are higher than people working in public health institutions and organizations.
