Summary/Abstract: The discovery of electricity determined the greatest technological leap in mankind’s history. The entire contemporary civilization owes almost everything to electric power. The formation of the conscience of using electric power goes back to the 17th century, but its use was accomplished in the 19th century, when the electric bulb and the telephone were invented. It is therefore all the more surprising that the idea of building musical instruments powered by electricity had appeared a century earlier
