Summary/Abstract: The genre of symphonic poem, programmatic, symphonic, made up of one part, uses mainly Romanian themes. The program becomes initiator of musical form by imposing the dramatic progress of action on musical structures. Electronic effects can be found especially in the sub-genre of vocal-symphonic poem, with the clear role of enriching timbral effects, and are present in the work of a substantial number of Romanian composers. The method of work consisted of realizing a complete radiography of the genre from the point of view of timbral effects and thematic and formal characteristics of the genre.
