Summary/Abstract: Comparative analyzes indicate the need to study higher education. In many countries, higher education is constituted in a theoretical sense. Institutions for higher education strive to gain insight into the quality of their own work. The relations between pedagogy and andragogy are considered on a scientific basis. In order to make this relationship clearer, it is important to follow the course and development of andragogy in its historical and comparative perspective. It is expected that there will be changes and revaluation of traditional pedagogical paradigms. The theoretical foundations reached in the research of acquisition of children and adolescents are not valid for higher education. The establishment of andragogy of higher education is of particular importance, because students in higher education are adults. The constitution of andragogy of higher education is based on that premise.
