Summary/Abstract: In order to maintain the trust of citizens in the legislature, parliaments around the world are introducing a system to regulate the conduct of MPs on ethical issues. It has to perform its tasks in a complex political, socio-cultural and a highly dynamic information environment. This article explores the challenges to the functioning of the UK ethical system and how to overcome them in a period that has been associated with its significant value and structural transformation.
