Summary/Abstract: Informal economy and informal employment are among the major macroeconomic problems faced by all countries in the World. The agricultural sector has the highest unregistered employment in Turkey. Due to its unique structure, agricultural enterprises are mostly family-run small businesses with micro-employer markets. Along with high input costs, limited employment opportunities and low education levels in rural areas are the main factors resulting in higher unregistered employment in agricultural sectors. Unregistered employment is one of the important issues for Ardahan province as in Turkey. It is significant to implement National and local policies to solve this problem. The aims of this study are to increase the awareness of cattle breeding farmers on unregistered and to increase the awareness about the advantages of registering the social security institution in Ardahan Province. In this context, a full negative binomial regression model was applied by surveying 330 people. According to the findings obtained from the study, it was determined that gender, age, income, number of individuals in the household, marital status and income from livestock variables had effects on the consciousness level.
