Summary/Abstract: He was born on January 13, 1866 at Florica as the second son of Ion C. Brătianu (1821- 1891), prime-minister of Romania between 1876-1888. Dinu Brătianu had a technical formation, but he worked a long time in financial institutions.In 1930 Constantin (Dinu) I.C. Brătianu opposed to the return of King Carol II on the Romanian throne. He was President of the National Liberal Party, 1934-1947.In 1947 Bratianu’s liberals suspended their activity. In 1950 Dinu Brătianu was arrested and sent to prison to Sighet. He died incarcerated in March 13, 1950 at the age of 84.
