ALTERNATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROCESS THROUGH TYPE PROJECT: INDOOR SPORTS HALL

Summary/Abstract: Sports have an important place in life of students. It contributes to the physical, mental, spiritual, social and cultural development of students. In this context; sports hall buildings, which users are students, within high school campuses should be planned with a careful design approach that allows social interaction due to function. In this study, the design process of the indoor sports hall building type project is handled as a process design from the thought stage to the implementation stage, depending on the basic conceptual approaches, and different alternatives and the architectural project design principles developed are presented. The aim of the design is to provide high quality alternatives to the users spatially, while the structures to be implemented in different climatic, economic and geographical conditions respond to these different conditions at the highest level possible. It is thought that the findings obtained in the research will contribute to similar project analysis by providing information about the design process in which its alternatives are produced.
