Summary/Abstract: The following article is closely connected with the time category explained on the example of contemporary Russian literature. On the one hand, the writers “complete” the past when the censorship prohibited the publication of books inconsistent with the politics of communist party. On the other hand, they show possibilities of art development in the future. The symbols immortalizing time are said to be values dealing with Religion and Art, understood widely as literature, music, painting, photography… It thus appears that pieces of art are often the best documents. Religion and art connect generations who hand down beauty, good and truth to their descendants, using different achievements of culture and civilization. In this way, time becomes one of the most valuable existential values.
