Summary/Abstract: With the globalisation of the world, brain drain continues to increase today. Most of the people participating in brain drain are educated at universities. On the other hand, it is important that some people who have settled abroad within the scope of brain drain return to their countries for various reasons or maintain their contacts. Therefore, different ways of cooperation should be sought to gain the people lost due to brain drain. In this study, the approaches of university students towards brain drain were investigated through metaphor anaysis. In the study, 135 students from the geography department of Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University took part as participants. This study was carried out by collecting data through a form in qualitative research method and phenomenological model. According to the findings of the study, students mostly used the metaphor of the USA for brain drain on a country basis.
