Summary/Abstract: The struggle for power inside the P.C.R. continued after the elimination, in 1952, of the "right-wing deviationists." In the Plenum of the Central Committee of the Romanian Workers' Party (P.M.R.) of June 1958, another group of important members, former underground activists, among whom C. Doncea, Pavel Ștefan, G. Raceanu, Ovidiu Șandru, were accused of having requested, in the autumn of 1956, the democratization of the party: they were excluded from the P.M.R.
