Summary/Abstract: Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFE), in an innovative formula of citizen participation at the Union level, came to an end on 9 May 2022 with presentation of 49 reform proposals and 326 implementing measures. Taking into consideration that a crucial element of the Conference was EU institutions’ commitment to a follow up, the paper shows responses to the CoFE proposals by the European Parliament, Council and Commission, as well as by certain member states and national parliaments. A particular resonance, both among the institutions and public opinion, is caused by the issues of future mechanisms of demo‑ cratic involvement of citizens as well as possible amendments to the treaties.
