Summary/Abstract: Language mistakes are inevitable in the process of learning a foreign language and they are often the result of the pressure of the mother tongue on the structures of the new language. Overcoming this category of repetitive mistakes represents one of the main goals of programs such as APLR (Anul pregătitor de limba română pentru cetățenii străini / The Preparatory Year of Romanian Language for Foreign Citizens), that stress the importance of a consistent, contrastive learning process.
