Summary/Abstract: The three documents describe two classical cases of opposition to the collectivization process: Iosif Nistor and Nicolae Vanga ofthe Benești village, who, in 1958, refused to participate in the works that were part of the process to form agricultural associations and they urged the other villagers to do the same. The two “enemies of the democratic people’s regime” were sentenced to seven and eight years correctional imprisonment, respectively.
